Quilts and Health Kits for Lutheran World Relief
THE HOLY COMFORTERS quilting group gathers on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There is always a need for more people to cut, sew, and assemble these quilts which are shipped around the world through Lutheran World Relief. Beaches Emergency Action Ministry (B.E.A.M.)
BEAM is a community based organization serving low income residents in Jacksonville’s beaches communities and relying heavily on community support to assist our neighbors in time of need. They envision a future in which no beaches resident goes hungry or is haunted by the fear of eviction.
Each month we designate one Sunday to collect essential shelf-stable, non-perishable food items.
Mission House
On the 3rd Monday of odd months and every 5th Monday, we volunteer at Mission House, Jacksonville Beach's only day center offering full-service support for individuals facing homelessness. Volunteers work from 4:00 to 7:00 PM preparing and serving the evening meal to those in need.
Senior Night
Quarterly, St. Andrew's hosts an event for community seniors. The event provides an opportunity for fellowship through a nutritious meal and an activity or entertainment.
